TRAINING and I.S.T.
The
MCRS has a S.C. DHEC approved In-Service program to recertify our members and
employees. The program is directed by Training Officer Charlie Williams, and
Dr. Shaukat Iftikcar serves as Medical Control Director.
The MCRS' program is a
one-year recertification program at the EMT, EMT-I and EMT-P levels.
Classes are offered three times each month.
In our on-going effort
to be the best we can be, all Employees are required to carry certifications
beyond what is required by DHEC. Below is a chart explaining what is
required of different certification levels by DHEC-EMS, and what is required by
the MCRS.

Pictures from the disaster drill held at the Marlboro County High School on
Thursday, June 3, 2004. MCR Paramedics JoJo Turbeville and Bryan
Turner suited up in Level A's and entered the "hot zone".
MCR
Paramedic Supervisor Greg Boan manned the Command Center, as Paramedic Mark Player,
and EMTs Erick Flowers and Jody Hood performed rehab. Paramedic
Olantha Jackson and EMT Dana Robinson treated "patients". (Some Photos courtesy of Gray Bostick). |
